7 September 2020 Announcement - Upgrading of Payment Gateway on OPERA
The payment gateway on OPERA will be upgraded with effect from 14 September 2020. In preparation for this, the credit card payment gateway on OPERA will not be available from 11.00PM on 9 September 2020 to 6:00PM on 13 September 2020 (GMT+8). If you have
an OPERA submission planned during this downtime, please notify the relevant officer-in-charge and make the requisite payment thereafter on 14 September 2020.
6 August 2020 Announcement - Change to log-in via Corppass Two-Factor Authentication
Currently, a OneKey token from Assurity Trusted Solutions Pte Ltd ("Assurity") is required to provide a One-Time-Pin ("OTP") for two-factor authentication ("2FA") when logging in to OPERA. Assurity has recently announced that OneKey tokens will no longer
be in use from 1 April 2021, and issuance of new and replacement tokens will cease on 1 October 2020.
As such, we will be replacing the existing 2FA on OPERA with Corppass 2FA on 24 August 2020. Under the Corppass 2FA, you will only be able to log in to OPERA with your existing Corppass account information. This means that from 24 August 2020, if you are
an existing user of OPERA, you will be able to log in to OPERA with OTPs sent to you via the following:
- SMS on the mobile number registered under your Corppass account; or
- the Singpass Mobile App linked to your Corppass account.
No further action will be required on your part.
20 July 2018 Announcement - Web browsers supported by OPERA wef 1 August 2018
From 1 August 2018, you can only access OPERA by using newer versions of internet browsers such as Internet Explorer 11, Firefox 45, Chrome 49 and above.

9 February 2015 Announcement - Implementation of Two Factor Authentication ("2FA") for access to OPERA
On 26 January 2015, we commenced a trial for users to use 2FA to access OPERA. The second factor authentication is a one-time pin to be generated by hardware token. The trial period ends on 29 March 2015 at 0030 hours. During this trial period, users have
the option to use 2FA, in addition to Singpass, to access OPERA. After 0030 hours on 29 March 2015 (when 2FA ‘goes live’), it will be mandatory for users to use 2FA in addition to Singpass to access OPERA. For more information on how to use 2FA to access OPERA,

24 July 2014 Announcement - Go-Live of the CIS module
On 28 October 2013, we launched the Collective Investment Schemes module ("CIS module") on OPERA. Since then, applications for authorisation and recognition of collective investment schemes ("CIS") and the lodgements of their prospectuses have been made
electronically on OPERA as well as in hard copies at our office under a parallel run arrangement. A parallel run also applied to the process of informing MAS about changes in details of existing CIS.
The CIS module will be fully implemented on 29 July 2014 and the parallel run arrangement will cease. Persons seeking authorisation and recognition of CIS and registration of their prospectuses will only need to lodge the required documents with MAS electronically
on OPERA and make the requisite payments on-line with credit cards. Lodgement of hard copies of documents by physical attendance at our office or submissions by post will not be required. Similarly, updates to particulars of authorised and recognised CIS will
only need to be made electronically on OPERA. Updates via letters will cease.
3 January 2014 Announcement – Go-Live of the Shares module
On 4 February 2013, we launched the Offers of Shares, Debentures and Business Trust Units module (“Shares module”) on OPERA. Since then, lodgments for offers have been made electronically on OPERA as well as in hard copies at our office or by post under
a parallel run arrangement.
The Shares module will be fully implemented on 13 January 2014 and the parallel run arrangement will cease. Persons making an offer of shares, debentures, and business trust units and/or their representatives will only need to lodge the required documents
with MAS electronically on OPERA and make the requisite payments on-line with credit cards. Lodgment of hard copies of documents by physical attendance at our office or submissions by post will not be required.
