24 July 2014 Announcement - Go-Live of the CIS module

On 28 October 2013, we launched the Collective Investment Schemes module ("CIS module") on OPERA. Since then, applications for authorisation and recognition of collective investment schemes ("CIS") and the lodgements of their prospectuses have been made electronically on OPERA as well as in hard copies at our office under a parallel run arrangement. A parallel run also applied to the process of informing MAS about changes in details of existing CIS.

Persons seeking authorisation and recognition of CIS and registration of their prospectuses will only need to lodge the required documents with MAS electronically on OPERA and make the requisite payments on-line with credit cards. Lodgement of hard copies of documents by physical attendance at our office or submissions by post will not be required. Similarly, updates to particulars of authorised and recognised CIS will only need to be made electronically on OPERA. Updates via letters will cease.
